I have to add some thoughts here about Mimi. Of course most of you know her and the dedication and love that she has for this sport. Mimi is there at nearly 100% of any racing weekend. Out on the track covering nearly every moto. She knows all of the riders in the classes and doesn't miss too many of you. Loretta Lynns is a very tough event for riders, families and photographers. We don't want to miss a shot of you the riders. Mimi is every where on the track to take that moment of your moto's. Doesn't sit out many motos and finishes at the end of the day. It is a tough week but Mimi makes sure that she has your shots. Thank you Mimi for all that you do.

More pics of the great racing. Weather was great, just alittlw fog in the early morning but was soon gone. The track was awesome. Moist, tacky and some great ruts in the right places. The riders seemed to have a relaxed feeling amongst them. Big smiles every where, lots of chatter out on the track. Great racing between the best around. This was a day that if you like racing and where not there, well you really missed out. It was a great day!

mood: PAMX CHAMPIONSHIP - OCTOBER

As racing days goes they are getting less and less for this area, winter is coming. Last race weekend at Steel City took a turn for the rain and mud. The Red Bull race went on and from what I have heard many had a great time. However it was the last race at Steel City for this year and I didn't get to say my annual "Goodbye" to the facility. Standing at the right hand turn right off the gate and looking over all of the track, taking in the many memories of the past years events. I MISSED IT!

Jerry and I didn't get to some of the races that where new or a distance away. Just didn't work out for one reason or another. I am so glad that we didn't miss this past weekends race at PRP! What a great track. The layout has just about everything. Dry areas, great ruts to throw you out of a turn, rythm section, off cambur, down, up hills, smooth, rough you name it it's there. I remember on Aaron's practice track it was generally very dry. But up under two large trees the dirt was moist and tacky. He loved going thru there, always on the gas. This track reminded me of Aaron's track, flowing near the edge of a field near the wooded area. The smells of the trees and land and the crazy chipmunks that were very busy even though the bikes flew by. I miss that practice track, it was Heaven to me, but it to is gone!

If you missed Sundays race you missed a good day of racing. The days again are going away fast for this season. So here's hoping for all and Jeff that this weekend at PVR will be a great one with NO RAIN! Here's some more pics from Sunday, as always you riders are best of the best!

music: AMATEUR DAY

Amateur racing at its best. Getting to take the same track that Dungey and Villopoto blasted around just the day before. A riders dream for sure. Gates nearly full in many classes today. 32 in Collegeboy, 38 in 250B, 31 in 450 A/Pro and the 450C a full 32 riders.

I didn't see the actual rider, bike hitting the flag stand, with the flagger in it. But this is what was left of the stand. It just happened to be the first day on the job for the flagger, one that he won't forget. A new stand was brought down and located on the other side of the track where only dirt hit the flagger from time to time. The flagger said that the rider was okay. Thats great !
