09/06/2011: "~ STEEL CITY NATIONAL ~"

Amateur racing at its best. Getting to take the same track that Dungey and Villopoto blasted around just the day before. A riders dream for sure. Gates nearly full in many classes today. 32 in Collegeboy, 38 in 250B, 31 in 450 A/Pro and the 450C a full 32 riders.

I didn't see the actual rider, bike hitting the flag stand, with the flagger in it. But this is what was left of the stand. It just happened to be the first day on the job for the flagger, one that he won't forget. A new stand was brought down and located on the other side of the track where only dirt hit the flagger from time to time. The flagger said that the rider was okay. Thats great !

What a rainy day. It has finally stopped and its 11:30 PM. WOW glad it didn't hit Steel City Saturday night. Back to work tomorrow and hopefully more pictures tomorrow after work. Have a great week in what ever you do.
